Easy On Easy Off EC Friendly Diaper Cover |
 | We EC and cloth diaper, and we change our baby as soon as we notice he's wet. I made these fleece covers to slow down the wetness just a little. They're not water-proof, just water-resistant. I use them mainly at night with my Charlie, because he was pooping several times an hour for the first month, so I needed something with more containment around the legs for daytime (flat-fold diapers, origami fold, pins or snappis). However, for nights, he just snuggled up next to me and didn't roll yet, so this set up was perfect. I kept refills beside the bed so simply wet diapers could be changed without me getting up. Now he poops only every 2-3 days so I can use these during the day if I need a little one-wet water-resistance. These are the same tie-on covers I used with Toni, and she wore this size from about 4 weeks until

 | Insert one of the following * a flat diaper, folded in 1/2, then 1/3 or 1/4 * a wash cloth * a prefold diaper
 | Lay baby on top, so that narrowest part of wrap lines up with center of baby's crotch.
 | Tuck under baby's back -- way back there, nice and snug. Do the same on the other side.
 | Tie in the middle.
 | Wet? Untie. Or leave tied, pull the belly part down, change the insert, and stuff the belly part back in the tie.

How to fold flat diapers: www.TheNappyLady
for staying home I like the Origami fold with snappi or belly belt and no diaper cover. Nappi lady calls it "Bat/Butterfly/Chinese Fold"
but I like to call it the origami fold because that explains why I find
it so relaxing just to sit and fold a huge stack of flats.
for bedtime I just fold one flat diaper in half then in 1/4ths, and line a fleece tie-on wrap.
for going places I have some birds-eye AIOs and also 2 G diapers (stuffed with a Gerber prefold).

You are a Master Babywearer |
In China, it is said that "A master is anyone who knows more than you do." So, you are all master babywearers compared with most of the moms in the world. You do NOT need to know everything there is to know about babywearing -- if you know even ONE carry with even ONE type of carrier, you are in possession of knowledge other moms desperately want -- even if they do not yet know they want it. ;-D Therefore, you should all feel confident enough to teach others! So, pick a public place, pick a day of the week, and start sharing your skills with other families! Then, list yourself here.
