 Magazines & Newspapers Minimize
Parenting magazines feature manufactured carriers quite often, but rarely show traditional or handmade carriers. If your letter to the editor caused the publication of a feature on slings, carriers, wearing positions and maybe even included a pattern for sewing your own, think of how many THOUSANDS of readers could learn about the benefits of wearing their baby!

Parenting magazines are a great focus group to start on, but why not tell People magazine to get a photographer looking for new moms in Hollywood wearing their babies? You might contact a sewing or craft magazine asking them to feature patterns for simple carriers too!

Newspapers can be great tools too! Your local paper may even feature a photo of YOU as part of the article. There are three small advertisement type papers in my area (some people call them “Pennysavers”). These papers are circulated to several thousand homes each week. Why not check to see if you have one in your area and give them a call?

Every newspaper and magazine has a “letter to the editor” section where you can submit your story ideas or comments on the publication. You can also look in the first few pages of the magazine for the address to submit story ideas.

You are a Master Babywearer Minimize
In China, it is said that "A master is anyone who knows more than you do." So, you are all master babywearers compared with most of the moms in the world. You do NOT need to know everything there is to know about babywearing -- if you know even ONE carry with even ONE type of carrier, you are in possession of knowledge other moms desperately want -- even if they do not yet know they want it. ;-D Therefore, you should all feel confident enough to teach others! So, pick a public place, pick a day of the week, and start sharing your skills with other families! Then, list yourself here.
