I  recently heard that you are expecting a new baby and wanted to offer my congratulations!  Being a parent is such a rewarding experience.

I am a mother of [] children, ages [] and I love wearing my child[ren] in traditional baby slings. I am writing you today because I think that every family should have access to these traditional styles of slings.

Some of the benefits of wearing your baby in a sling include
~a wonderful environment for promoting bonding between parent and child
~calming and soothing a baby who suffers from colic
~breastfeeding comfortably and discreetly

I urge you to try to find funds for agencies such as WIC and the department of children and family services to be able to provide slings to low income families. These families deserve to be able to reap the benefits that wearing your baby provides.
