Go slow. Relax. Don't be in a hurry. Make sure each mama has a place to sit and is comfortable. Get other stuff out of the way so you have a safe area to work in.
Look at each baby. Is he sitting? Does he have good head control. Is he really heavy? Ask the mom when she wants to wear him most -- while nursing, while working around the house, etc.
Pick the ONE carry that will be most valuable to that mom right now. Show her that carry with your baby. Show her fast, to see how easy it is. Now show her how to get baby down. Now show her slowly, to show her the techniques and the safety features. Now, let her try it (with a teddy bear maybe) and let her follow along watching you as you do it with your baby.
Let each mom practice her carry again and again until you know she can do it. Then show them a glimpse of the endless variety of carries by moving yourself and your baby through a variety of carry positions while they watch how easy it is.
I like to make sure each mama leaves with the confidence that she can DEFINITELY do one carry all by herself safely and comfortably.
